Was this when you came to Augusta? I've always been a fan of the music but when I heard you were in town as an author/writer as well, I decided to check out your website. Keep encouraging.

I listened to you... as I grew up and then during my pregnancy, and now my child dances to you….we listen.
Now, I have been known to pull out your lyrics when I am working with youth in “the system” here in the South West. They listen.
They, listen to music when they wont listen to anything else.

Respecffully, Common, I have to agree with my ister Dr. Wright. I enjoy your music immensely and Nothing will make me stop being a fan. I'm thinking that with Twitter being fairly new to you, or to the person on your team assigned to it, that you may not realize how much richer the experience is to *listen* as well as *broadcast*.

If you look at Barack Obama's account, you'l see that the person running his account followed us all back. Which means that even though the conversation wasn't *actually* two-way, it *felt* that way. Just from a marketing standpoint, I believe you'd do better that way.

I started out not following my followers on Twitter, back when I didn't *get* it. And I can't tell you how much it enriched my business AND my life to start following, and listening to what my followers say.I hope you'll take my words to heart and that they help you.

Anyway, you still do us proud, brother. We are grateful for you.

Lots of people listen when you speak, however, DO YOU listen? Staying connected is important. Ask McCain about that. I noticed you FOLLOW NO ONE ON TWITTER.

So how do you plan on getting any feedback?

Your fans hear you, but can you hear them??

for all those fortunate to hear you speak, it is a blessing in disguise. One of my favorite things you ever said was on Def Poetry when recited a poem of yours. you said " they want us to hold justice but you handing me none". i thought that was a hard line and i thank you for it.

It's great to see a sincere, aware, and responsible side of the culture that isn't always portrayed!!! With the success that your music has givien you, i'd imagine that it is always nice to step away from the light for a lil bit and do something like speaking to the children in Agusta!!! I can't wait for the new album, im a huge fan since "Can I Borrow a Doller", and im glad to see a real artist be relavant after all this time, and get his shine!!!!! I Think the work that the Common Ground Foundation is doing is Great, and tremendously needed! I live in Pennsylvania, near Philly, I would love to see the Foundation do it's work in our areas out here!!!! Maybe even have you come to speak at schools in the area! Peace!!!!!

That's a cool picture. It's fun talking with young people because they are so honest. They don't care who you are they will be real at all times. I would love for you to come down to East St.Louis/St.Louis to talk to the young people here. How would I go about setting that up?
