Man, I was pretty surprised (and entertained) when I saw this clip. Check out Susan Boyle from this British reality show.

Brought tears to my eyes. Everyone possesses beautiful gifts, the fun is in the discovery and display.

I really thought she was going to bust out in some Luther. Throw some D’s on her!

I would agree, this is definitely a wake up call for those that judge individuals before they even know who they are, what skills they possess, and what talents they may bring.
Thank you for sharing this because as a student I don’t have the opportunity to watch much television.

I am so ashamed. I was sure she was going to get up there and bomb!!! I was cringing ‘cuz I felt bad for her – I just new Simon was going to send her back to her village shunned! She blew me away – good for her!!
And boo me for my prejudice.

Oh my goodness. I wanted to cry. Yay! One for the underdogs…the unsuspecting warriors walking around knowing their worth but no one else knowing until they dig a little deeper and give us a chance! Yay for Susan Boyle

The young shiny wrappers have nothing on this woman! It’s what’s inside that really counts, pity that society is sooooo consumed with the wrapper!

Wow!!! She was incredible, but it goes to show how you people pre-judge from appearances alone, here is hoping that people do better in 2009!

When will we ever learn this is another example how we continue to see and hold on high “so called” outer beauty, when we need to REQUIRE the awsome beauty WITH-IN from each of us.
By joan on Apr 15, 2009
I was not sure…now I’m just like WOW she did that!

Vindicated! Does it take brilliance to obliterate ignorance/prejudice? We should ask ourselves.
