  2. This is a beautiful commercial and an accurate representation of what true African pride should look like. Great concept, great commercial way to go Pepsi.

  4. This commercial reminds me of the solidarity that the Black students at The University of California Berkeley excercised on Monday to discuss their frustrations with the campus’ disregard… I’m sure you’ll feel the same way.

  7. This advert is ridiculous! A typical Western misconstrued representation of Africa! Firstly I am an African and we do not all live in lush lanscapes and do informal trading for a living secondly we are not all black and dance to tribal music! I’m so sick and tired of these American conglomerants misrepresenting Africa! Get out of your Westernised bubbles!

  8. I absolutely understand where you are coming from Inge, I`m a black south african and I do not live in the rural areas, but this world cup is about us and I was just siked by the ad and the realisation that the World cup is happening very soon and I just couldn`t contain my excitement. Yes it is very IGNORANT, but hey the world cup might perhaps create the platform to allow the World to change it`s perceptions about not just South Africa(our beautiful country) but about Africa in general. Secondly I`m just excited that they have gotten over the whole we live with wild animals thingy and lets face the truth by the way I have seen lots of informal trading being done for a living perhaps it shouldn`t be dismissed, because poverty in this country is real especially if you`re black.
