Mark Reigelman designed these “Bite” silverwares to draw attention to the ongoing problem of global hunger. “Each day millions of individuals lay in hunger while millions more are wastefully overeating,” Reigelman says. “This set of ‘bitten’ silverware highlights the daunting reality of both worldly plagues.”

The Wolfgang Keyboard Bench by designer Nolan Herbut is made up of 2000 keys imbedded into a layered Baltic birch wood. Each key is pressable and actually makes a clicking sound when pressed. The tactile effect of the bench also makes a playful interaction with the bench because you engage with the piece of furniture in a very up close and intimate manner while pressing in the keys.

Lego jewelry/accessories, lego cars/buildings/sculptures… I don’t think we ever grow out of a fascination with legos. This stop-motion movie using them is a cool addition to the long list of ways we still play with legos.

Apartment interior in Paris by Ecole, a French architecture and design studio… Dope!
Facing the Eglise Saint-Gervais on one side and the Hôtel de Ville de Paris on the other, this 95 sqm apartment occupies the whole of the the two top floors of an 18th century building. The project comprised a full restructuration of the existing space and the conception of some design elements. The first floor, formerly consisting of a long corridor and four rooms has been largely cut open. Thus, the entrance, the living room and the kitchen form one single continuity. The guest space (a bedroom and a bathroom) has been built on the same floor. A steel staircase links the living room to the owner’sv private space underneath the roof.
