What is your favorite Common song?
Mine is definitely "Love is..." off of Be.
Lyrics are so true, my favorite passage has to be "Cases in court, fam showing love and support/ You and your babies mom thought that love was a sport/ As men we were taught to hold it in/ That's why we don't know how till we're older men"
I love the lyrics as I do with all of Common's songs but what sets this apart is the beat. Classic Dilla with the mean Marvin Gaye sample (Also, I'm pretty sure this was one of the last songs Dilla produced before he died, anyone know?).

Hey Cam yes this song is probably one of my favorites as well. I love the line "If love is a place I'ma go again. At least now, now I know to go within." Also So Far To Go is too good. But the original version off Dilla's The Shining album. Commons rhyme on that one kills. Gotta love those Common/Dilla collabs :)
